Belt Books

Belt books, also known as girdle books, are medieval book structures which were worn by monks on their belts. They were traditionally made with leather. I am working with different materials for these books, especially the new Uist Mill cloths, which works really well. So here they are!

  • Belt Book Red Leather- Item Code BBRL

    This belt book features a red leather for the book cover and a black leather for the ribbon that holds the book shut as well as for the cube which attaches to your belt.
    The book block is made from 170gsm acid free cartridge paper which is ideal for a variety of different media, such as charcoal, pencil and pen.

    This belt book features a new Uist Mill tweed and leather for the ribbon that holds the book shut as well as for the cube which attaches to your belt.
